About
Daddy’s Girl Second Chance Foundation (DG2ndC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. It was founded May 2018 by Roshawna Harris Stith, a healthcare professional for over 20 years and part time collegiate educator for 10 years. The foundation was formed to benefit individuals in college or headed to college who need guided financial assistance for educational purposes. Awarded participants don't only receive monetary assistance, but are partnered with a success mentor to help guide them throughout their educational journey.
We are given a second chance to get situations right whether we choose to take the chance or not. My dad, Robert Harris, was given a second chance after being arrested and almost losing everything. If it was not for his faith and others believing in him; he would not have been able to attend college and receive a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, raise a daughter, and finish seminary school. I am starting this foundation in honor of him and his desire to help others, as others reached out and helped him. Dad and I would always discuss the needs of others and how we can help meet those needs. Now the vision is clear and will be fulfilled through Daddy's Girl Second Chance Foundation.
